Overview
The Case Manager will provide individual and group addiction counseling, perform clinical assessments and evaluations, develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, and ensure accurate documentation through record keeping and detailed progress notes.

Principal Responsibilities

 

1. Primary role will be as a case manager focused on Opioid Remediation for individuals with Opioid Use Disorders.
2. Provide education and guidance to patients and families as they enter and continue through treatment and off therapy follow up.
3. Mitigate other alleged effects of the opioid epidemic including working with family members/significant others all within the context of the current Opiate epidemic.
4. Advocates for interventions to decrease stress of patients and families during their experience while creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field with 1 year experience working with individuals who have a substance use disorder or equivalent combination of experience and education. Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) preferred.

Health Requirements

This role is a healthcare worker position. Healthcare workers (HCW) are defined as university employees working a healthcare setting who have the potential for direct or indirect exposure to patients, human research subjects or infectious materials including body substance, contaminated medical supplies, devices and equipment, surfaces, or air.  HCW have specific health requirements that must be met prior to starting work, including MMR vaccine or immunity, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine or immunity, TB screening, COVID vaccine according to University policy, hepatitis B vaccine or immunity, and annual flu vaccination.
