Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

When you create a LandEarly account, we collect your email address, password (hashed), and any profile information you provide — including work history, education, skills, and preferences. When you use LandEarly to apply to jobs, we collect and store the job postings, the tailored resume and cover letter generated for each application, and the status of each application.

We collect standard server log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and debugging purposes.

2. How we use your information

We use your profile data exclusively to provide the LandEarly service: tailoring your resume and cover letter to job descriptions and submitting applications on your behalf. We use your email address to send account-related notifications (account creation, application status updates, billing receipts).

We do not use your resume or work history data to train AI models for any purpose other than generating tailored applications for your account.

3. Third-party services

LandEarly uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Neon — database hosting (PostgreSQL). Your profile and application data is stored in a Neon database.
  • Stripe — payment processing. We do not store your card number; Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
  • Google OAuth— if you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and name under Google's OAuth terms.
  • Vercel — hosting for the LandEarly web application.

We do not sell your personal information to employers, recruiters, or any third party.

4. Data retention

We retain your account and application data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete all associated personal data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized data (e.g., application volume trends) may be retained indefinitely in non-identifiable form.

5. Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings. You can also contact us directly at privacy@landearly.com with any data requests. If you are a resident of the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively — contact us to exercise them.

6. Cookies

LandEarly uses essential session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email to the address on your account. Continued use of LandEarly after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
