Job Title: Student Worker - Fitness Instructor/Trainer(FY26-27)-BC

Work Schedule: 6-20 hrs per week, Hours May Vary / 5:45AM-10:00PM

Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Ongoing

Pay Rate: $10.00 - $15.00

Job Description: 

This position requires employees to instruct or train FitWell Group X classes, including F45, within the FitWell programs and services.

Responsibilities include:  

-Plan, develop and provide safe, fun & effective group fitness classes based on recognized guidelines

-Ensure the safety, maintenance, and security of the facility and equipment

-Observe participants for proper technique, body posture, and movements for safety

-Provide appropriate advice and proper resources on routine fitness & wellness questions

-Work with others to execute risk reduction measures and provide care in emergency situations

-Encourage the Baylor Community to live active and healthy lives

-Assist in assigned area of responsibility and perform other duties assigned

-Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors  

-Participate in various activities and tasks related to health and recreation  

-Adhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followed  

-Ability to comply with university policies  

-Maintain regular and punctual attendance   

 

General qualifications include:

-Must pass State of Texas criminal background check

-Experience teaching/training not required but preferred

-A nationally recognized group exercise certificate required

-CPR certification within 30 days of employment

-Display ability to motivate members in class

-Ability to work as a team
