Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:In an outpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system. Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care. Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD. Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication.
FT position available, primarily days. Primarily located at Red Creek drive location. Employee will be required to float to Brockport location, and Strong Memorial hospital, or any future URMC dermatology sites as departmental need arises.
Performs the functions associated with the clinical aspect of a patient visit in Dermatology practice. Direct patient care, administration of medications and injections. Communicates with - and provides assistance for - patients, health care providers, pharmacies and fellow staff. Performs as a clinical scribe in Dermatology’s team-documentation model. Documents patient encounter in electronic medical record for physician review, and approval. Minimum one year of LPN experience preferred. Comfortability with typing – advanced skill level not required.
