Overview
Tasks:
- To convene the global network of Yale Climate Fellows - both virtually and through in-person gatherings;
- To mentor Yale Climate Fellows, both individually and collectively;
- To raise the necessary resources to develop, expand and sustain the fellowship;
- Working together with the ILC team, to identify and recruit Climate Fellows;
- Working together with the ILC team, to design and develop fellowship programming, both in-person and virtual;
- To forge partnerships with leading climate practitioners and institutions for joint programming and initiatives.

Principal Responsibilities
1. Identifies and mobilizes current staff and programming activities and articulates a strategic growth plan and new capabilities needed to spread the program to new schools. 2. Works with the program’s marketing and communications department to develop a plan to increase awareness of and requests for services across the country, and strategically deploys the program’s senior leaders as needed to support program growth. 3. Serves as first point of contact between decision makers in schools and the program staff. 4. Designs,improves, deploys and manages high-quality processes for identifying school partners and for supporting their implementation and sustainability of the program. 5. Oversees program professional development efforts in schools districts, including both on-site/customized activities to hire and train local trainers and university-based training conferences for school teams. 6. Identifies needs and opportunities for new products, services, training modules, curricula, etc. that will best serve educators and school-based trainers in effective implementation and sustainability of the program. 7. Creates strategic engagement plan for program leadership that guides their day-to-day involvement in decisions, marketing, training, materials development, etc. 8. Executes school district contracts that ensures the program is fairly compensated for its support. 9. Manages a staff of exempt (managerial / professional) and/or non-exempt (clerical / technical) employees. 10. May perform other duties as assigned.
