We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Used Car Technician to join our busy dealership team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of used vehicles to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on used vehicles, including both gasoline and diesel engines.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems such as powertrain, electrical, suspension, brakes, steering, and HVAC.
- Use schematics and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Repair or replace components using hand tools, power tools, and other automotive repair equipment.
- Maintain detailed repair records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems.
- Experience with automotive diagnostic software and reading schematics.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures for a variety of makes and models.
