Job Description:
- Baylor School of Music (SOM) Admissions and Recruitment is looking for dedicated students who are ready to work both independently and as part of a team to support prospective student recruitment and admissions initiatives. This position will assist with coordinating and supporting audition days, prospective student visits, and Baylor recruitment events. The Admissions Intern will help create a welcoming experience for prospective students and families, while gaining valuable experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, and event coordination.
- On-the-job training will be provided. Prior experience with customer service and administrative work is a plus. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required for audition days and recruitment events. Professional and appropriate workplace attire should be worn when representing the School of Music at recruitment events and other university functions.
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with prospective student inquiries, tours, and provide information about the School of Music opportunities.
- Provide excellent customer service and a welcoming experience to prospective students and their families.
- Assist with coordinating, preparing, and supporting School of Music audition days and additional event logistics.
- Help organize audition day materials, schedules, check-in, and other event logistics
- Help organize and maintain recruitment materials, promotional items, and event supplies
- Support event setup, registration, check-in, student engagement, and breakdown as needed
- Perform administrative duties and assist with various projects, activities, and tasks related to admissions and recruitment
- Maintain a professional and positive representation of Baylor University and the School of Music
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Assist with additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
