Student and Campus Life (SCL) inspires transformation in all Cornell students on their journey of individual, academic and personal evolution. Our division is comprised of leading student affairs experts who support our campus on pressing student life matters including public service, health, wellbeing, connection and belonging, residential living, food services, sports, recreation, career services, and student activities and organizations including sorority and fraternity life. The Cornell University Athletic Ticketing operation provides our guests with the highest quality fan experience in a safe, clean, comfortable and friendly environment. The Temporary Parking Assistant position supports athletic event operations by providing exceptional customer service and assisting with game day parking operations. Responsibilities include processing parking payments, verifying pre-purchased parking passes, directing guests to appropriate parking locations, and helping to maintain safe, organized, and efficient parking services. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, dependability, and the ability to professionally enforce event policies and procedures while creating a positive experience for event attendees.

*Pay: $20.00/hour. Please note that this is a casual position (average of 15 hours or less per week) and is not eligible for benefits or visa sponsorship.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate iPads, computers, and payment processing equipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to provide support for athletic events throughout the academic year (September through May).
  • Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and other hours as needed to support scheduled events.
  • Ability to remain standing for extended periods in both indoor and outdoor environments, including during inclement weather when required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of event policies and procedures and consistently enforce them to promote a safe and positive experience for all patrons.
  • Ability to complete required Workday training modules before the first event shift.
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
