Description

The Emory Sleep Center and the Department of Psychiatry are seeking a board certified/board eligible Sleep Medicine physician to join the Emory University faculty.

The candidate will predominantly provide outpatient services in the Emory Sleep Center, providing clinical care to adult sleep disorders patients and interpreting sleep studies.  Candidates with special interests in insomnia or the central disorders of hypersomnolence are preferred.   Opportunities may be available for candidates with active research portfolios.

The Emory Sleep Center offers outpatient services and home sleep apnea testing at three Emory campuses – 12 Executive Park, Emory Decatur Hospital and Emory Johns Creek Hospital. We manage sleep laboratories at the Executive Park location, Emory Johns Creek, Emory Decatur, and Emory Hillandale.  Additionally, we have an in-house durable medical equipment company for PAP.  Our provider team is comprised of physicians with Neurology, Pulmonary, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and ENT backgrounds, a psychologist providing Behavioral Sleep Medicine Services, and several advanced practice providers.  We have an active sleep fellowship program training four fellows annually.

What applying to Emory University (Faculty) usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through icims for faculty and staff roles at Emory University can generally expect an online application involving submission of a CV, cover letter, and possibly references or teaching statements, particularly for academic and clinical positions. The process may include multiple stages, such as initial screening by HR or a search committee, followed by department-level interviews and potentially a campus visit or presentation for academic roles. For clinical and medical positions, credentialing and licensure verification are commonly part of the process. Response times vary depending on the department and role complexity, and applicants should be prepared to provide detailed documentation of qualifications, certifications, or research experience.
