About the role
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Tech Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition Team. This is a sourcing-first role for someone who loves the hunt: finding, engaging, and converting hard-to-reach technical talent. You will be instrumental in helping the business scale across critical, high-priority engineering roles, and you will own your pipelines end to end.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end hiring strategy for critical technical roles, from intake to offer
- Act as a hands-on sourcer: proactively scout passive talent via diverse channels
- Build and maintain healthy, diverse pipelines ahead of demand rather than reacting to open reqs
- Engage passive candidates through targeted, personalized outreach and screen for alignment, availability, and interest level
- Manage the candidate funnel with a data-driven lens: track conversion at each stage, diagnose drop-off, and adjust top-of-funnel activity to consistently hit and exceed hiring metrics
- Provide a world-class candidate experience to every candidate, regardless of outcome
- Keep candidates moving through the interview pipeline in a timely manner, following up with hiring managers when needed
- Partner closely with hiring managers and leaders on requirements, calibration, profile reviews, and pipeline progress
- Represent Ethos and the roles accurately and compellingly over the phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Schedule interviews and keep the ATS clean and current
Qualifications and Skills:
- 6 to 8 years of relevant recruiting experience, with a strong track record in technical hiring
- Proven hands-on sourcing ability: you can find and engage talent others cannot, and you enjoy doing it
- Comfortable using recruiting metrics and data to drive decisions and strategy (funnel conversion, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, response rates)
- Prior experience sourcing at a start-up or agency, with a preference for technical sourcing depth
- A hardworking, self-directed operator who takes ownership and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion through the recruiting process
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships, including collaborating with leaders, taking new requirements, reviewing profiles, and updating pipeline progress
- Strong candidate engagement skills across targeted email and LinkedIn outreach, with a clear and exciting pitch
- Hands-on experience with Greenhouse, Gem, and LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar recruiting tools
