About Flexport:

At Flexport, we believe global trade can move the human race forward. That’s why it’s our mission to make global commerce so easy there will be more of it. We’re shaping the future of a $10T industry with solutions powered by innovative technology and exceptional people. Today, companies of all sizes—from emerging brands to Fortune 500s—use Flexport technology to move more than $19B of merchandise across 112 countries a year.

The recent global supply chain crisis has put Flexport center stage as we continue to play a pivotal role in how goods move around the world. We are proud to have the support of the best investors in the game who believe in our mission, solutions and people. Ready to tackle global challenges that impact business, society, and the environment? Come join us.

The opportunity:

You just graduated and you know you want a commercial career, but you're not sure which lane yet. Sales? Account management? Something else?

12 months inside Flexport's commercial engine. Four rotations, four mentors, one goal: find where you fit.

  • Months 1–3: Open doors as an SDR
  • Months 4–6: Manage clients as an Account Manager
  • Months 7–9: Close deals alongside a top salesperson
  • Months 10–12: Go deep in Operations, Marketing, or Customs — your pick

You'll have a named 1:1 mentor each block, plus one programme-wide buddy who stays with you the entire year. You'll also build with low-code tools alongside our engineering team. Global trade runs on tech now, not just relationships.

The payoff: after a successful completion of the program you will get a permanent Account Executive, Business Development Rep, or Account Manager role by month 12, plus a company-wide network most new hires take years to build.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Block 1 – Sales Development: generate pipeline through outbound outreach, qualify leads, and keep Salesforce updated.
Block 2 – Account Management: support client meetings, identify upsell/renewal opportunities, and learn the customer lifecycle.
Block 3 – Sales: support a full sales cycle from discovery to close, including deal structuring and negotiation.
Block 4 – Elective: complete a project in Operations, Marketing, or Customs of your choice.

Alongside all four blocks, you'll also join Engineering sessions every two weeks, learn low-code/no-code tools, and build your own capstone project by year-end.

Is this you?
• A recent graduate (Bachelor's or Master's) — any discipline
• Fluent in German and English
• Willing to relocate to Hamburg or Frankfurt
• Strong affinity with commercial roles but unsure which exact direction
• Comfortable learning new tools and systems
• No sales experience required
• Solution-oriented, self-motivated, detail-oriented and organised

Please note that fluency in both German and English is required. We kindly ask our candidates to apply with a CV in English! :-)

What's in there for you:

  • An opportunity to contribute to one of the fastest-growing companies, where you’ll have the chance to create a global impact while being a part of a  thriving multinational environment
  • Lunch food delivery 4 days a week incl. vegetarian options, a salad bar and special menu options, plus breakfast options, snacks, soft drinks and barista coffee.
  • Health insurance:  employee contribution part is covered by Flexport
  • 25 paid vacation days
  • Equity program: every team member becomes a shareholder, aligning our success with yours. As a private company in a multi-trillion dollar industry, you have a direct stake in our collective growth and success.
  • Employee Assistance Program through Aetna Resources for Living: Flexport provides an employer-sponsored program at no cost to you and your household members
  • Parental leave benefit: Flexport is here to support you and your families in one of the most important times in life – the birth of a child! Our parental leave program allows both mothers and partners to take time off from work for pregnancy, childbirth, and to bond with your new child.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, physical and mental disability, health status, marital and family status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

What applying to Flexport usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through greenhouse can generally expect a structured process typical of this ATS platform. After submitting an application, candidates commonly receive an automated confirmation, followed by resume screening from a recruiter or hiring team. If selected, applicants may be invited to a recruiter phone screen, followed by interviews with hiring managers or team members, which may include multiple stages such as technical assessments, case studies, or panel discussions depending on the role. Response times vary and are not guaranteed at any particular stage. Communication is typically handled through the platform itself, with updates on status sent via email. Candidates should ensure their application materials are tailored to the specific role, as greenhouse-based systems often rely on keyword and qualification matching during initial screening.
