Job description

This role is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the Reprint Production team. They will submit reprint orders, track orders in progress, run estimates, route corrections, review quality on completed samples, and work closely with both vendors and our internal departments. The Production Assistant must be able to execute requests quickly, communicate with all levels of the company, work with all members of the department, and create clear and concise reports. The Production Assistant will work on reprints for both children’s and adult titles, including novels, picture books, graphic novels, and board books.

What you'll do:

  • Manage reprint orders of 1-color and 4-color titles (including, but not limited to, checking costs, issuing purchase orders, routing and reviewing outgoing files for corrections, tracking schedules, and reviewing digital and physical proofs).
  • Review and route corrections not associated with active reprint titles.
  • Create margin estimates for offset and digital reprints.
  • Process incoming reprint samples (including performing quality checks, labeling, and shelving/filing book and component samples.
  • Prepare for and attend weekly interdepartmental meetings.
  • Support Reprint Production team on administrative tasks (e.g. mail organization, supplies monitoring and ordering, updating team calendars and documentation).

  • Bachelor’s Degree (OR equivalent amount of office/admin experience).

The hourly rate for this role will be $25 per hour. The role will be hired through a third party vendor, Noor Staffing.
