Job description
Know where you belong!

Match Group is a leading provider of dating products across the globe. Our portfolio includes Tinder, Hinge, Match, Meetic, PlentyOfFish, OkCupid, The League, HER, and others, each designed to spark meaningful connections for singles worldwide. Creating a sense of belonging doesn’t stop at our products - it’s the foundation of every team we hire.

When it comes to dating, the connection starts online, but the real magic happens once you meet in real life (IRL). We think the same is true for creating the best platforms, so we work together IRL in our office 3 days/week.

Role overview:

The Trust & Safety Policy Team is responsible for the rules Members must follow to be allowed on or when using the platforms across the Match Group portfolio. Our mission is to maintain best-in-class policies that protect our Members and the integrity of those platforms. As a Policy Analyst, you will execute the operational activities across the team's workstreams: conducting research and analysis, running deep-dive audits, drafting and implementing guidance updates, answering questions, and funneling feedback from various sources to the broader team for continuous improvement. You will serve as a front-line point of contact, providing policy support for agents, training, and quality teams, as well as engaging in moderation work led by Product or the Anti-Abuse teams.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Analyze existing policies and guidelines to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or conflicts, and conduct efficacy reviews to determine whether policies are being applied properly.

  • Assist in the drafting of policies and guidelines and support the development of new policies, including researching policy topics.

  • Assist in implementing changes and support feedback loops for operations teams.

  • Be a subject matter expert in assigned policies, working with cross-functional partners to implement changes and manage feedback.

  • Support the Policy Team's operations and assist in various projects or workflows as needed.

We could be a match if:

  • 2 to 3 years of Trust & Safety experience

  • Experience in developing and/or improving content policies

  • Record of successful project management

  • Strong attention to detail, highly self-driven, and results-oriented

  • Proven ability to collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data

  • Experience working with, influencing, and negotiating with a broad array of stakeholders

  • Organized and comprehensive communicator

What’s the team like?

  • You will report to AJ Marroquin, Sr. Manager, T&S Policy, joining a team of Sr. Policy Analysts across EMEA and North America.

  • Everyone is brand-agnostic, owning a scope of policies rather than a single brand within the Match Group portfolio.

  • The team sits within Governance alongside Training and Quality, the group that sets Trust & Safety standards, teaches them, and ensures they are met.

  • You will have clearly defined responsibilities and the autonomy to execute with minimal instruction, and your manager will review your work as you build depth.

  • Success means writing guidance that agent teams can apply confidently and independently and owning policy areas that hold up under audit. Over time, it means broader ownership, as your work requires less review and cross-functional partners come to you directly.

What applying to Match Group usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through lever can generally expect an online application form requesting a resume and basic details, sometimes with optional questions about experience or motivation. After submission, an initial recruiter screen may occur, followed by additional conversations with hiring managers or team members, which may include multiple stages such as technical assessments, case studies, or panel discussions depending on the role, whether at Match Group or elsewhere. Communication is typically handled through email or the Lever platform itself, and response times vary based on the volume of applicants and internal scheduling. Candidates should typically prepare standard materials like a resume and portfolio if relevant, and can commonly expect to receive status updates directly through the system, though the exact structure and pace of the process may differ by team and position.
