Position Summary

The Associate Director of Admissions leads recruitment and outreach initiatives for NYU Abu Dhabi across the U.S. and the Americas. Based in New York and reports to the Senior Associate Director of Admission at NYU Abu Dhabi and the Senior Associate Director of Global Admission at NYU. Serves as a senior member of the undergraduate admissions leadership team and advances NYUAD’s strategic enrollment goals. Oversees the day-to-day management and execution of Americas recruitment and outreach efforts, ensuring alignment with the broader admissions strategy established by the Executive Director. Leads the New York-based recruitment team and oversees regional recruitment strategies, travel planning, and territory management to identify, attract, and enroll talented students from diverse backgrounds. Serves as a liaison for NYUAD’s partnership with the Institute of International Education (IIE) in the U.S. Manages key outreach initiatives and develops counselor engagement strategies across multiple educational systems. Collaborates with the NYU Admissions team in New York to integrate recruitment and outreach efforts with NYUAD’s Americas-specific and global enrollment goals. Serves as a senior member of the Global Undergraduate Admissions Team and contributes to the NYU New York administrative community. Supports on-campus programming for current and prospective students, participates in Global Team initiatives, and contributes to the international credential review process with a focus on NYU Abu Dhabi’s campus-specific needs. Serves as a thought partner to admissions leadership by providing insights and recommendations on recruitment trends, enrollment strategies, and operational efficiencies. Directly supervises two professional staff members and promotes cross-functional collaboration across the department and NYU’s global campuses.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in liberal arts, education, counseling, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education:Master's Degree or coursework related to education, higher education administration, communication, international relations, counseling, or a related field. Required Experience:5+ years progressively responsible experience in university admissions or U.S.-style liberal arts programs, including experience with secondary education, university advising, or international education. Preferred Experience:2+ years Demonstrated experience managing professional staff and leading cross-functional teams. Experience coordinating complex projects and managing external partnerships. Experience working with diverse student populations across varied educational systems. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills. Excellent English verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Familiarity with enrollment management practices and data-informed decision-making. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse audiences across nationalities and cultural contexts. Ability to handle difficult conversations diplomatically and respectfully and represent NYUAD’s institutional values. Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Slate), data tools, and standard office software. Must have valid drivers license and abiltily to travel internationally Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Professional association and development credentials in enrollment management or admissions (e.g., NACAC, AACRAO).

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
