Position Summary

Provide operational and administrative support to the Chair and Department of Occupational Therapy in partnership with the Administrative Director, coordinating departmental processes related to finance, human resources, academic operations, and communications. Support the Administrative Director in implementing departmental priorities and managing the day-to-day administration of department operations. Provide administrative support for departmental financial activities, including processing purchasing and reimbursement requests, maintaining account documentation, and tracking expenses. In collaboration with the Chair, Administrative Director, and Program Directors, coordinate academic operations, including course scheduling, and compile and maintain student enrollment data to support departmental planning, reporting, and operational decision-making. Coordinate appointment and onboarding processes for adjunct faculty and serve as the departmental liaison with the Steinhardt Faculty Affairs Office to support full-time faculty recruitment administration, tenure, and promotion processes.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience:2+ years of administrative experience providing support for office operations; managing budgets and monitoring expenditures; supervising staff, events planning; and serving as administrative liaison with other organizational offices at all levels.Preferred Experience:1+ years Experience in a university or college setting.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills. Ability to understand budgets, solve problems and communicate effectively to a diverse population. Proficiency in standard office software.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Intermediate Excel skills. Experience using social media and survey platforms, such as Qualtrics. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Demonstrated written communication skills. Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure. Demonstrates ability to plan and organize projects including schedules, budgets, and project deliverables.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000 to USD $84,700. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
