About the Opportunity

Job Description:

The Research technician will be part of the PROTECT/ECHO research studies based at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This position will assist with the research related to the work being conducted in the clinics and with the study participants, supporting the consent, recruitment and follow-up activities for the ECHO protocol. Transporting biological  and environmental samples will also be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in a science or public health related field.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, highly organized, dependable, and skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software.

  • Fluency in Spanish, ideally Puerto Rican Spanish, is required.

  • Prior experience in research studies is preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate findings clearly.

  • Ability to move on the study area.

  • Availability to work weekends.
