The of role Pysical Therapist collaborates with a team of health care professionals and supports staff to provide physical therapy care to Ohio State University (OSU) students at Student Life Student Health Services (SLSHS); provides direct care to students in a college ambulatory care setting, including appointments and walk-in visits; performs modalities and other special tasks as approved credentials permit; consults with other health professionals within and outside the facility; interacts with ancillary services staff daily; participates in program review and improvement activities; assists with outreach programs within the university community. Final candidate must successfully complete a background check and health screening.


The Physical Therapist provides services according to the: laws of the State of Ohio governing licensed professionals; standard of practice, scope of practice, clinical guidelines, and codes of ethics published by respective national professional associations; OSU/SLSHS policies and procedures governing the work of licensed clinical professionals. All staff must meet standards for professional and core competencies.

Qualifications
Required: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited school or equivalent combination of education or experience. Currently licensed in the state of Ohio as a Physical Therapist. 0 years of relevant experience required; current licensure with the State of Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Training Board; current American Heart Association BLS certification. Ongoing: Maintains professional licensure, demonstrates commitment to continuing education, meets mandatory education and health requirements, demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job function.

Desired: 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred, experience performing physical therapy in an outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine setting; understanding of health issues and range of treatments necessary to meet the age-specific needs of college students.

Additional Information:

Targeted Hiring Range: $79,100-$98,900. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit’s available budget, and the selected candidate’s qualifications.

Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen and background check.
