Research Senior Associate - Surgery Critical Care, Trauma and BurnDepartment:
Medicine | Surgery Critical Care Trauma and BurnPosition Summary
Conceptualizes, designs, and executes complex laboratory experiments; plans and executes advanced molecular and cellular techniques, including but not limited to Western blots, ELISAs, basic coagulation assays, and confocal imaging; participates in training and overseeing methodologies conducted by more junior lab members.
Performs critical analysis of literature relevant to research; collaborates with principal investigator to perform organization and statistical analysis of the data and write and prepare grants and manuscripts for publication and presentation.
Participates in developing and managing grant budgets and lab purchases; monitors and enforces laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance. Manages daily operations of the laboratory including procurement, technical assistance and equipment maintenance.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in an appropriate biological/health science or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with Master's Degree. Doctoral degree in an appropriate biological/health science field is desirable.
