JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Join a multidisciplinary research team investigating how the lower jaw develops and how disruptions in this process may contribute to congenital craniofacial disorders. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative developmental biology research by supporting the imaging, data management, and computational workflows that drive scientific discovery.

This position will play an important role in ensuring that large imaging and research datasets are accurately organized, prepared, and ready for analysis. Responsibilities include managing data transfers, maintaining project databases, preparing imaging data, assisting with data collection, and executing established Python-based machine learning workflows. The employee will also perform quality assurance checks, document results, and identify and help resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with the research team. There may be limited, hands on wet lab work preparing specimens for imaging.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with large datasets, and interested in applying computational tools to biomedical research. This position provides hands-on experience supporting advanced imaging and machine learning approaches in a research environment, while helping generate reliable data to advance understanding of jaw development, bone formation, and craniofacial disease.
