POSITION SPECIFICS

The Office for Undergraduate Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences seeks to fill the full-time position of Student Services Assistant. This position will support the Office of Undergraduate Education's student success mission and work to advance the overall student experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the college scholarship program by processing student awards, maintaining databases, and responding to inquiries

  • Serve as College SEEQ (Student Educational Experience Questionnaire) Representative by maintaining access for college users, train and disseminate SEEQ information, respond to SEEQ questions and investigate issues, and ensure polices are being followed

  • Coordinate and assist with events for the Associate Dean, including events related to teaching excellence and professional development

  • Assist with student engagement activities, programs, and initiatives including preparing and distributing the weekly student newsletter, tracking engagement activities, and identifying potential opportunities to support student engagement

  • Update and maintain website content

  • Responsible for recording and posting meeting minutes for meetings within the Undergraduate Education office

  • Provide support and coverage for other administrative staff as needed

Qualifications:

It is preferred that applicants be proficient with Microsoft Office and have experience with eSteward (Penn State's database related to alumni gifts and endowments) , Plone, and FileMaker.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

If filled as Student Services Assistant - Intermediate Support, this position requires:
General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS)
2+ years of relevant experience
Required Certifications:
None

If filled as Student Services Assistant - Senior Support, this position requires:
Associate Degree
4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
Required Certifications:
None

Additional Information:

This position will work mostly on-site at Penn State's University Park campus, but requests to work one day a week remotely can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview process.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $40,608.00 - $64,668.00.
