$10.25 / hour Weekly average, approximately 8 hours per week 

   

Required hours may include days, evenings, weekends, overnight hours and holidays

Job Description 

The primary role of the Wellness Ambassador position is to assist in the implementation to present over various health and wellness topics to campus groups, teach meditation sessions, conduct tabling events, and help with wellness programming and events. The position will work alongside peers to conduct health and wellness education to students on campus through presentations, events, and outreach efforts. The goal of this position is to provide students valuable, real-world health and wellness knowledge and skills. This position should work 8 hours per week during the current semester. Those hours may be worked in any combination, at the discretion of the direct supervisor. The Wellness Ambassador candidate must be reliable, organized, responsible, and flexible. They must also be ambitious, detail-oriented, creative, and driven.  

 

Qualifications

Must be actively enrolled at Purdue University, Purdue Global 

Previous work experience within health / science preferred (not required) 

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written 

Flexible and dependable with a strong attention to detail 

Problem solving, logic and reasoning skills 

Customer service oriented 

Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines 

Ability to work independently and with a team 

Be timely and organized 

Position Responsibilities

Exhibit friendliness, diplomacy, and tact in responding to customers  

Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional conduct when handling sensitive information  

Serve and participate on committees within the division to provide feedback from a student lens 

Responsible for all scheduled shifts (based on class/exam schedules for the semester) 

Must attend all scheduled staff meetings to gain and/or share pertinent information
