What applying to Short Story usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through Ashby for roles at Short Story can generally expect an online application involving a resume submission and possibly some initial screening questions. The process may include multiple stages, such as a recruiter conversation, one or more interviews with hiring managers or team members, and potentially a skills-based or role-specific assessment depending on the position, whether in engineering, merchandising, retail operations, or people functions. Communication is often handled through automated updates within the Ashby platform, and response times vary by role and hiring volume. Candidates may also encounter structured interview formats or scorecards typical of Ashby-based hiring workflows.
