Job Description

***This is a part-time/seasonal position. There are 2 openings.***

The Capacity Building Specialist I provides general administrative support to departmental operations by performing routine clerical tasks. This position helps ensure efficient workflow and can also include performing other duties as needed to support daily business functions.


Responsibilities:
-Provides general administrative assistance by answering phone calls, handling mail, preparing basic correspondence and performing routine office tasks to support daily departmental operations.

-Creates, organizes and maintains both physical and electronic files, scans, indexes and stores documents and performs basic data entry and information updates to ensure accurate and accessible records.

-Assist with special projects and operational needs by completing assigned tasks and supporting staff with other duties as required.

-Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:
Required Education: High school diploma or GED.,

Preferred Education: Associate degree or equivalent in business or closely related field.

Required Experience: Minimum two (2) years experience in general office and customer service.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required Knowledge: Basic knowledge of program operations and duties. General knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Required Skills: Sound judgement. Great attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills. Highly self-motivated. Willing to learn.

Required Abilities: Able to plan and organize. Work independently and on team projects. Perform most duties with minimal instruction and supervision, with a high degree of accuracy, in a time-sensitive environment. Multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Required: Valid Texas Drivers license
