Journeyman Plumber

We are seeking a skilled and experienced licensed journeyman plumber to perform a variety of plumbing tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting plumbing issues, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with plumbing codes and regulations. This role will require working independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and deliver exceptional service to our clients. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead and assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of water flow systems, including vertical plumbing systems and specialized cavern-based infrastructure.
• Oversee and contribute to the construction and upkeep of lift stations, including potential input on design.
• Perform high-elevation plumbing tasks, including installation and handling of large-diameter (4-inch) pipes using scissor lifts and other tools.
• Guide team members through plumbing work in confined and unique environments such as underground or cavern-style facilities.
• Provide hands-on support with material handling, pipe movement, tool transport, and site cleanup.
• Operate and supervise the use of manual tools, including jackhammers, in support of plumbing and general maintenance tasks.
• Respond to facility needs related to snow removal, salting, stormwater drainage, and rock movement.
• Assist with emergency operations such as flooding response, hose and drain management, and traffic control when necessary.
• Ensure work is performed safely in potentially hazardous and loud environments, with a strong focus on situational awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments, including electrical and general maintenance teams, to support broader facility operations.
• Take a hands-on leadership role in cross-functional tasks, including excavation, confined-space operations, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the plumbing team and facility operations, including special projects and tasks outside the typical scope of responsibilities. 

Requirements:

• Valid journeyman plumber license
• Proven experience as a journeyman plumber
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
