Position Description: We seek to hire an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in History and Political Economy.  Applications are welcome from all geographic areas, including those whose work crosses national boundaries.

The Department of History has a growing research strength in economic history, to which the successful candidate will contribute. Successful candidates are expected to contribute to research and teaching in both History and Political Economy.  The expected start date for this position is July 1, 2027. For further questions about the position, contact Prof. Kris Lane (Search Chair).

Qualifications: PhD in History. Although ABD candidates will be considered, a terminal degree is required by the time the Assistant Professor appointment begins.
