The selected Advanced Practice Provider will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-growing, academically driven urology clinic. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive urologic evaluations, follow-up visits, and chronic condition management
- This position may partially support a Urologic Oncology physician who treats patients with urologic cancers.
- Supporting faculty urologists in the coordination and optimization of outpatient care
- Performing urology-specific outpatient procedures as credentialed and supervised
- Collaborating with nursing, administrative, and multidisciplinary partners to ensure an exceptional patient experience
- Participating in departmental quality improvement initiatives, faculty meetings, and continuing education activities
This role is well-suited for candidates who value work-life balance, consistent daytime clinic hours, and the opportunity to develop strong relationships with patients in a purely outpatient setting.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant or State of Louisiana APRN license
- Master of Science in Nursing for NP candidates
- National certification as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner, with prescriptive authority
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (American Heart Association)
- Eligibility for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinic setting; urology or surgical specialty experience preferred but not required
