Responsibilities:

Full time M-F position available.

Exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider in an established OB/GYN office that specializes in menopause and mid-life women’s health. Work in collaboration with physicians and APPs to assess mid-life women and their healthcare needs. Provide gynecology care for women across the lifespan with a focus on mid-life health including menopause symptom management, contraception, menopause hormone therapy, management of mid-life GYN concerns, and preventative GYN care. Familiar with advanced concepts, practices and procedures within chosen field of expertise. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Secure a complete health history, including obstetric, gynecologic, contraceptive, medical, surgical, sexual, family health, and psychosocial; and record findings accurately and succinctly. Perform physical examinations with special emphasis on the reproductive system, including breast examinations, pelvic examination, cancer screening tests, diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and experience with specialized GYN procedures, and colposcopy experience preferred. Participate in accomplishing customer-focused goals. Provide referrals and assure follow-up. Perform, order and interpret labs, and diagnostic studies as indicated. Provide relevant health instruction to include family planning, nutrition, sexual counseling, and principles of health promotion and maintenance. OB/GYN experience preferred. Menopause Society Certified Practitioner certification preferred. Requirements: Current NYS license with national certification. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse staff and clients.

Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
