Purpose

The Digital Marketing Coordinator is a hands-on role which delivers exceptional audience experiences across web, email and integrated campaigns. The position owns and continuously improves the college’s digital channels, using strong content judgment, UX, analytics and SEO while also working directly in WordPress and Eloqua and troubleshooting front-end issues. It is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable shaping strategy, building experience and using data to make it better.

Responsibilities

  • Web Experience, Governance and Continuous Improvement
Own and continuously improve the college’s WordPress multisite experience. Create, edit and optimize webpages and landing pages; maintain strong information architecture; and ensure content is audience-focused, current, accessible, responsive and visually effective. Govern web standards across college and sub-unit sites, advising content managers on appropriate structure, page creation and content placement to prevent unnecessary, duplicative or internally focused content.

Manage and execute the college’s email marketing program, including campaign creation, audience segmentation, templates, QA, testing, scheduling and distribution. Partner with communications, content, social media and design colleagues to create cohesive audience experiences across email, web and other digital campaign channels. Troubleshoot HTML/CSS and other front-end issues as needed.
  • Analytics, Testing and Audience Optimization
Monitor and analyze web, email and digital campaign performance using GA4, Search Console, email analytics and related tools. • SEO, Accessibility and Digital Content Optimization
Apply SEO, accessibility, UX and digital content best practices across college digital properties. Optimize content for audience needs and search intent; maintain appropriate page structure, metadata and content standards; and identify and prioritize opportunities to improve underperforming or outdated content. Provide guidance and training to content contributors.
  • Digital Innovation and Technical Implementation
Identify and implement opportunities to improve digital experiences through email, WordPress functionality, plugins, integrations and emerging tools. Independently implement appropriate front-end improvements using HTML, CSS and related technologies, and partner with designers and IT developers when more advanced technical support is required. Evaluate new functionality for audience fit, usability, sustainability and strategic value.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
