UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Internal Medicine / Cardiac Unit.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 90% or 100% FTE
  • Variable shifts

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Our general Internal Medicine/Cardiology unit is a 30-bed medical/surgical unit that provides care and treatment to general internal medicine and cardiology patients. We care for patients with a variety of medical illnesses including pneumonia, liver and gastro-intestinal disorders, infections, diabetes, renal compromise, auto-immune disorders, heart failure, and acute myocardial infarctions. Telemetry monitoring is provided.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide acute patient care
  • Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing supervisor
  • Follow evidence-based nursing practices
  • Monitor and administer medications and IVs

REQUIREMENTS

  • One year current/recent med-surg nursing experience preferred
  • Licensed to work as an RN in the State of Washington
  • Active BLS certification

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$46.97 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$86.17 hourly

Other Compensation:

BSN (or higher degree) Premium - $1.00/hour ; Certification (Specialty Certs) Premium - $1.25/hour
Night Shift Premium - $5.00/hour; Evening Shift Premium - $3.00/hour
Weekend Shift Premium - $4.00/hour; Sunday Night Premium - $3.00/hour
Overtime Pay
$5000 Relocation Assistance (for eligible new employees)
