UW Medical Center-Northwest - Medical-Surgical Unit at the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning has an outstanding opportunity for a Rotating Shift (days and nights) Registered Nurse.
WORK SCHEDULE
36 hours per week
3x12 shift schedule
Must be available to work a rotating mix of day shifts (7:00am-7:30pm) and night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am)
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Medical-Surgical Unit at the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning supports a wide range of individuals, including general acute care patients, telemetry monitoring patients, and patients with multiple behavioral health comorbidities.
We have 50 beds split between two floors. This position will specifically work on our third floor, which has 25 beds.
Our patients receive holistic treatment, addressing their physical, medical, and mental health needs.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide medical-surgical care to behavioral health patients, including those with psychiatric comorbidities
Ensure patient safety protocols are followed, including restraint protocols
Administer oral and injectable medications
Monitor vital signs using telemetry equipment
Assess and manage pain
Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and their families
Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect
REQUIREMENTS
1 year of recent medical-surgical RN work experience
Active BLS
Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$46.97 hourlyPay Range Maximum:
$86.17 hourlyOther Compensation:
BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour
Certification premium - $1.25/hour
Night premium - $5.00/hour
Weekend premium - $4.00/hour
Sunday night premium - $3.00/hour
