Legal Gujarati Translator

Verdacert is a certified translation company serving USCIS filings, courts, universities, and medical providers, with deep expertise in translating official documents from Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Pashto, Dari, Turkish, and dozens of other languages. We're looking for a Legal Gujarati Translator to join our network of native-speaker reviewers, providing accurate, certified translations of legal and civil documents between Gujarati and English for immigration, court, academic, and medical use cases.

What you'll do

• Translate legal and civil documents (birth certificates, marriage records, court filings, affidavits, academic transcripts, and similar) between Gujarati and English
• Review and edit machine-generated first drafts for accuracy, completeness, and faithful transliteration of names, dates, and numbers
• Sign certification statements attesting to the accuracy and completeness of each translation, in a form that meets USCIS regulatory requirements (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3))
• Preserve original document layout and formatting in the translated output
• Flag ambiguous source content, illegible text, or inconsistencies to the project lead rather than guessing
• Meet defined turnaround windows (standard, express, or rush) depending on order priority

What we're looking for

• Native or near-native fluency in Gujarati and English, with strong legal and civil document vocabulary in both languages
• Demonstrated experience translating official documents such as birth/marriage certificates, court records, affidavits, or transcripts
• Familiarity with certified translation standards and certification statement requirements for USCIS or similar government agencies
• Meticulous attention to detail, especially with names, dates, numbers, and transliteration conventions
• Ability to work within firm delivery deadlines, including rush turnaround requests
• Comfortable reviewing and editing AI-assisted first-draft translations rather than translating entirely from scratch

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a certified or court-approved translator
• Familiarity with Gujarati civil registry formats and regional document conventions
• Experience translating for immigration, legal, or medical contexts
