That produces a timing band: did the application arrive within 1 hour of posting, within 24 hours, within 72 hours, or later?
Separately, when users connect their inbox and LandEarly detects a recruiter reply, interview invitation, or rejection, that outcome is linked back to the original application. The result is a dataset that connects timing bands to interview rates: of applications submitted in band X, what fraction generated an interview-stage response?
This is not a proxy measure
It is a direct count of applications in each timing band and the interview outcomes connected to those applications — not an estimate inferred from something else.
Why significance thresholds matter
Measuring an interview rate from six applications is meaningless. If 2 of 6 got interviews in the first hour, that 33% rate has enormous variance around it, and any conclusion drawn from it would mislead more than it informs.
Wilson score interval, 95% confidence
LandEarly uses a Wilson score interval at a 95% confidence level to determine whether a given timing band's interview rate is statistically distinguishable from the base rate. The system requires a minimum sample size before reporting a finding.
Below that threshold, the page displays an honest fallback: not enough data yet to report a statistically significant result for this band. Reporting a dramatic number with insufficient backing would create false confidence and obscure whether the tool is actually working.

What the data shows when significance is reached
Once a timing band clears the significance threshold, the result surfaces on the about page.
