Job description

At Parallel, we build AI agents that help healthcare organizations automate their administrative processes and unlock additional revenue, starting with medical coding.

Today, up to 25% of healthcare spending is lost to manual, repetitive administrative tasks. Legacy software hasn't helped: it has made work slower, more complex and more frustrating for care teams.

We believe AI agents can change this. Our technology combines large language models with system-level automation to do real work inside existing hospital tools. No integration, no disruption.

Our first agent automates coding and frees up time for medical teams to focus on patients.

We launched in 2024 and already have 800+ customers and a team of 30+ people. We are backed by top-tier investors (Index Ventures, Y Combinator, Hexa, Frst, Kima Ventures, Better Angle and the CEO of Mistral AI), and this is just the beginning.

The future of healthcare isn't just digital, it's automated. Come help us build it!

Context

Germany is one of Europe's largest healthcare markets, and its hospitals face the same pressure we solve in France: rising administrative load, staff shortages and revenue lost to incomplete coding.

As Germany GTM Lead, you are our first hire in the country. You will report directly to Paul Lafforgue, CEO and co-founder, and work closely with Chris, our CTO, and the product team in Paris. You will own everything from the first prospecting call to the first signed contracts, shape the local product and build the German team from zero.

  • Location: 2 to 3 months of onboarding in Paris, then based in Germany with regular trips to Paris. Office in Munich or Berlin.

  • Team: none at first. Around 5 people in H1 2027, around 12 by the end of 2027.

Your mission

Take Parallel from zero to a validated, repeatable market in Germany by the end of 2027: 2 to 3 flagship hospitals as paying customers, 2M€ ARR and a local team of around 15.

Outcomes

  • First customers: build the pipeline with Paul, book your own first meetings (your calendar starts empty), sign the first pilots and turn them into paying contracts.

  • German go-to-market: pick the segment to win first (private groups, public or university hospitals), adapt the pitch to the German healthcare context, test our success-based pricing, including in public tenders, and build visibility through networks, trade shows and customer references.

  • Local product: run the feedback loop between German hospitals and the product & tech team, and bring in local medical expert(s) to validate usage

  • German team: hire a team growing from 0 to around 12 across sales, ops, engineers and set up the office.

  • Growth story: report on Germany's progress to the leadership team and investors, and, if we acquire a local company, contribute to due diligence and lead the integration of the acquired team.

Who you are

A builder who wants to open a market, not run one. This job is for you if:

  • You are a native German speaker, with your schooling and career in Germany, and fluent in English, our working language with headquarters.

  • You have 5 to 10 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a quota-carrying B2B sales role.

  • You have lived at least one 0-to-1 experience: you founded a company, joined a startup of fewer than 50 people or launched a new market.

  • You enjoy being on the ground: meeting customers, travelling and opening doors yourself.

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and an empty playbook.

  • You are credible with hospital leadership (CEO, CFO, chief medical officer) as well as with physicians.

  • You can convince first hires to join a company that nobody in Germany knows yet.

  • You are open to about 3 months of regular trips to Paris, with a long-term base in Germany.

  • Bonus: you know the German healthcare system, or you have already launched a business.

  • Bonus: you have hired and managed a team, or worked on M&A or the integration of an acquired team.

Our values

  • Play to Win: we are not here just to participate, ship something “good enough”, or enjoy the startup ride. We want to win. That means caring deeply about outcomes, moving fast and being willing to put in the intensity required when it matters.

  • High Trust, High Standards: trust is our default. If you joined us, it's because we believe you can own your scope and make good decisions. We don't want a company built on approvals, control and micromanagement. But trust comes with responsibility. The more freedom we give, the higher the standard we expect.

  • Low Ego, Hands-On: no one at Parallel is above doing the work. Titles, seniority and past achievements don't exempt anyone from getting their hands dirty. Everyone should be willing to step into the arena when needed. Leadership means taking responsibility, not creating distance from execution.

  • Don't Take Yourself Too Seriously: we are extremely serious about our mission. We don't need to be extremely serious about ourselves. Building a company is intense. We want Parallel to remain a place where people enjoy spending time together, laugh, celebrate and bring energy to the people around them. High standards and good vibes are not opposites. We want both.

Hiring process

  1. Screening call (40 min)

  2. Practical case + Q&A with Paul, CEO (video call, 45 min)

  3. Presentation of your written practical case (video call, 1h30)

  4. Business case in Paris (half a day)

Why should you join us?

  • A rare opportunity: open Parallel's first international market as employee #1 in the country, with a direct line to the CEO and the room to build the team, the playbook and the office your way.

  • A product that already works: you start with a live product, around 800 customer references in France and local CTO in Germany ready to adapt it with you.

  • Real-world impact: every hospital you sign gives clinical staff time back from paperwork to improve patient care.

  • Package & perks: competitive salary and meaningful equity, health insurance, top-quality equipment and a public-transport contribution.

We care about who you are, not just what's on your CV.
If you're drawn to what we're building but don't meet every requirement, we still want to hear from you. Studies show that women in particular tend to apply only when they meet 100% of the criteria. If that's you, please don't let that hold you back. We'd love to receive your application.
