Job description

At Parallel, we build AI agents that help healthcare organizations automate their administrative processes and unlock additional revenue, starting with medical coding.

Today, up to 25% of healthcare spending is lost to manual, repetitive administrative tasks. Legacy software hasn't helped: it has made work slower, more complex and more frustrating for care teams.

We believe AI agents can change this. Our technology combines large language models with system-level automation to do real work inside existing hospital tools. No integration, no disruption.

Our first agent automates coding and frees up time for medical teams to focus on patients.

We launched in 2024 and already have 800+ customers and a team of 30+ people. We are backed by top-tier investors (Index Ventures, Y Combinator, Hexa, Frst, Kima Ventures, Better Angle and the CEO of Mistral AI), and this is just the beginning.

The future of healthcare isn't just digital, it's automated. Come help us build it!

The role

As GTM Lead US, you will help take Parallel from zero to its first paying hospitals in the US. You will work side by side with Paul, our CEO and co-founder, who leads the US launch on the ground. You are our first US hire: you will build the pipeline, run discovery and the first pilots, and turn what works into a playbook the next hires can follow.

Parallel uses AI to reduce administrative workload in hospitals, starting with medical coding. Our product is live in around 100 French hospitals and clinics, and the US is one of our first two international markets, with Germany.

  • Reports to: Paul Lafforgue, CEO and co-founder.

  • Location: New York, in person with Paul. Regular travel to hospitals and conferences across the US. 4 weeks of onboarding in Paris at the start.

  • Team: you will help hire the next 3 to 5 people in 2027 and shape the team for 2027.

Your mission for 2027: with Paul, sign the first US pilots, convert them into paying contracts and build a repeatable playbook.

What you will do

  1. Build and run the pipeline

    • Build the list of target hospitals and health systems, and keep it up to date in our CRM.

    • Prospect yourself: cold outreach, LinkedIn, events, intros from our investors and advisors. Your calendar starts empty.

    • Run discovery calls with VPs of Revenue Cycle, HIM and CDI directors and CFOs, and bring back what you learn.

  2. Sign and run the first pilots

    • Prepare and follow up every meeting with Paul, and own the next steps.

    • Run pilots end to end: security review, BAA, data access, kick-off, results.

  3. Build the US playbook

    • Write down the ideal customer profile, the pitch, the objections and how we answer them.

    • Test our success-based pricing with US buyers.

    • Run the feedback loop between hospitals and our product and tech team in Paris.

  4. Make Parallel visible in the US

    • Organise our presence at conferences (HFMA, ACDIS, AHIMA) and regional events.

    • Turn our first customers into references.

  5. Help build the team

    • Help hire the next people: account executives, a medical coding lead, deployment strategists.

    • Set up the basics of the US office and tools.

Who you are

Experience

  • Based in the US, with US work authorization.

  • 3 to 6 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a customer-facing role with US hospitals or health systems: health-tech sales or business development, revenue cycle, or consulting for providers.

  • At least one early-stage or scale-up experience: you joined a startup of fewer than 50 people, launched a new product or market, or founded something.

  • You have prospected and booked your own meetings.

Mindset

  • Hands-on: you do the work yourself, from cold emails to conference logistics.

  • Persuasive: you can hold a conversation with a CFO or a VP of Revenue Cycle and earn a second meeting.

  • Organised: you run several pilots and follow-ups at once without dropping anything.

  • Builder: you like an empty playbook and turning what works into a process.

  • Clear writer: you write short notes that others can act on.

  • Ambitious: you want to grow with the US business.

Our values

  1. Play to Win

We are not here just to participate, ship something “good enough”, or enjoy the startup ride. We want to win. That means caring deeply about outcomes, moving fast and being willing to put in the intensity required when it matters.

  1. High Trust, High Standards

Trust is our default. If you joined us, it's because we believe you can own your scope and make good decisions. We don't want a company built on approvals, control and micromanagement. But trust comes with responsibility. The more freedom we give, the higher the standard we expect.

  1. Low Ego, Hands-On

No one at Parallel is above doing the work. Titles, seniority and past achievements don't exempt anyone from getting their hands dirty. Everyone should be willing to step into the arena when needed. Leadership means taking responsibility, not creating distance from execution.

  1. Don't Take Yourself Too Seriously

We are extremely serious about our mission. We don't need to be extremely serious about ourselves. Building a company is intense. We want Parallel to remain a place where people enjoy spending time together, laugh, celebrate and bring energy to the people around them. High standards and good vibes are not opposites. We want both.

Nice to have

  • You know the US hospital revenue cycle: DRGs, CDI, coding, denials.

  • You have worked at a revenue cycle or CDI vendor, or in a health system's revenue cycle team.

  • You speak French.

  • You have been part of a company's launch in a new market.

We care about who you are, not just what's on your CV.
If you're drawn to what we're building but don't meet every requirement, we still want to hear from you. Studies show that women in particular tend to apply only when they meet 100% of the criteria. If that's you, please don't let that hold you back. We'd love to receive your application.
