THIS POSITION IS ON THE OXFORD COLLEGE OF EMORY UNIVERSITY CAMPUS, 36 MILES EAST OF ATLANTA.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Leads and supports program(s), including developing tools, resources and timelines as needed to ensure program success.
  • Develops and conducts surveys and assessments to identify program needs and gaps, and makes recommendations to management for improvements.
  • Advises management on issues and matters of significance related to current program success and future initiatives.
  • Establishes schedules, oversees arrangements, and provides logistics support for events, conferences, meetings, seminars, and other venues as requested.
  • Gathers and coordinates dissemination of information regarding new or revised policies and procedures, responds to inquiries regarding departmental policies and procedures and makes referrals when appropriate.
  • May manage projects related to student progress, enrollment, registration, and recruitment.
  • May manage various databases and budgets.
  • May serve as liaison and facilitator among program faculty, students, and administration to resolve registration, admissions, and other program-related concerns.
  • May represent the program(s) at recruitment events, conferences, meetings, seminars, and other events.
  • May be required to present and speak on behalf of the program(s).
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of academic program administration and higher education operations.
  • Strong project and program coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate established policies, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and appropriately escalate complex or sensitive matters.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when working with confidential academic and student information.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective processes, tools, resources, timelines, and documentation.
  • Ability to compile information, monitor program measures, and prepare reports and presentations for leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with faculty, students, administrators, and University partners.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, systems, and evolving academic initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree and two years of experience working with academic programs or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting academic programs or academic affairs within a college or university environment.
  • Experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple faculty, administrative, and institutional stakeholders.
  • Experience working with academic integrity, assessment, student success, academic program review, or related higher education programs.
  • Experience with case-management, learning-management, or academic information systems, including systems such as Maxient and Canvas.
  • Experience maintaining confidential student or academic records.
  • Experience coordinating committees, academic events, faculty development programs, or external review activities.
  • Demonstrated experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting program information and data.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
