Job description

Experian is a global data and technology company, powering opportunities for people and businesses around the world. We operate across a range of markets, from financial services to healthcare, automotive, agribusiness, insurance, and many more. Experian invests in people and new advanced technologies to unlock the power of data. We have an amazing team of 25,200 people in 32 countries.

The Senior Information Security Analyst at Experian is an important role that safeguards our information assets and ensures compliance with industry standards. The Senior Information Security Analyst protects Experian's information assets by managing data-access governance, security reporting, and data-protection monitoring across Amazon Web Services environments. You will report to the Director of Information Security

  • Security Reporting: Manage security posture and vulnerability reporting using Panaseer, and Checkmarx.
  • Access Governance: Review data access, extracts, elevated access requests, and quarterly access reviews.
  • Data Protection: Conduct PII and sensitive-data scans and support remediation with Data Engineering.
  • Brand Protection: Monitor brand misuse and coordinate remediation and takedowns.
  • Data Governance & Privacy: Support data classification, handling, and privacy programs.
  • Automation & AI: Use Tines, Python, and approved AI tools to automate security processes.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Data Governance, Privacy, and InfoSec teams.
  • Compliance: Support SOC 2, audits, and related evidence requests.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve security reviews, reporting, and processes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certifications: None required. Security+, Certified Information Systems Auditor, or working toward Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
  • Experience: 5–7 years in information security, data governance, or IT compliance, including hands-on experience with access management, data-loss prevention, and Amazon Web Services-hosted environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud security and lightweight automation tools (for example, Tines or Python).
  • AI Fluency: Comfortable using AI assistants (for example, Claude or Copilot) for drafting, summarizing, and assessment in daily security work. This is an active area of investment for Experian InfoSec, so genuine interest in building AI-assisted workflows matters more than prior formal experience.

Our uniqueness is that we celebrate yours. What applying to Experian usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through SmartRecruiters typically begin with an online application and profile submission, often followed by an automated confirmation email. From there, applicants can generally expect an initial recruiter screening to review background and role fit, followed by additional evaluation stages that may include hiring manager conversations, technical or skills-based assessments, and panel discussions depending on the role, such as engineering, sales, or analyst positions at Experian. Some roles may also involve take-home exercises or case studies. Communication throughout the process is commonly handled via the SmartRecruiters platform or direct email, and response times vary based on team capacity and role seniority. Candidates should typically prepare to discuss their resume, relevant experience, and motivations, as the process may include multiple stages before a final decision is reached.
