Facilities Management and Ancillary Services - HVAC Operations


Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the HVAC Supervisor, Zone East – the Building Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of heating, refrigeration and other building engineering equipment assigned under his care.


Qualifications:

Must possess valid certificates of Fourth Class Stationary Engineering along with a class “B” (Refrigeration Equipment Operations). English and French functional spoken and read. English or French functional written.

Additional Details:

  • Unit: HVAC

  • Premium: Certification (0.60$/hour)

  • Status: Full Time

  • Employment type: Contract

  • Hours of Work: 38.75 hours/week, day shift from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm; the incumbent will be required to serve on a call-in list. A meal time period of thirty (30) minutes is unpaid.

  • The incumbent may be assigned to work in a hospital environment where building operations support patient care and research activities and may be required to respond to urgent operational requirements in a fast-paced environment.

  • The incumbent will be required to wear a mask and other required personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in designated areas.
