NUR 424: October 16th: 8h30-11h30 (set up time is 30-minutes before and 30 minutes after).

NUR 323x623: October 21st: 2h30 -17h30 (set up time is 30-minutes before and 30 minutes after).

Position Summary (NUR 424/NUR 323 x 623):
Responsible for setting up the examination room according to specific requirements as well as ensuring that equipment and facilities are functioning properly. Administers the delivery of the electronic and paper exams and documentation accordingly. Handles students’ issues and directs them to IT support, the Exam Administrator or Professor as needed. Ensures that students comply with regulations with respect to the exam. Responsible to report any behavior by students or others that does not comply with University regulations. Ensures that all mobile and web‐accessible electronic devices are collected from the students prior to the start of the examination and returned upon their departure. Ensures that students are accompanied to the washroom. Alerts the Professor or Exam Administrator when students have a question. At the end of the examination period, collects all exam materials and ensures nothing is left behind in the examination room(s). Responsible for reporting back to the Professor or Exam Administrator and ensuring delivery of the exams.

Duties include:

  • Setting up the examination room according to specific requirements as well as ensuring that equipment and facilities are functioning properly.

  • Administers the the delivery of the exams and documentation. Ensures that students have signed in and signed out.

  • Handles students’ problems and refers to course instructors as required.

  • Ensures that students comply with regulations with respect to exams. Responsible for reporting any behavior by students or others that do not comply with university regulations.

  • Ensures that all mobile and web accessible electronic devices are left in the front of the class or auditorium and only the essentials are brought to their seat.  

  • Ensures that students are accompanied to the washroom.

  • Alerts professor when students have a question.

  • At the end of the examination, collects all exam materials and ensures nothing is left behind in the examination room period.  

  • Organizes exam into an alphabetical organization and ensure that all the exams are in hand.

  • Responsible for reporting back to the professor and ensure safe delivery of the exam booklet and scantrons.

Qualifications:

High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma (minimum requirement).

Experience with McGill invigilation is an asset

Hourly Salary:

(AGSEM Invigilator) $18.00
