Job Description:

The Student Research Assistant will:

  • Develop social media presence for a podcast.

  • Increase the visibility of the podcast (to increase the number of listeners).

With the eventual possibility to extend the contract and to work on:

  • Knowledge mobilization via PI’s website.

  • Liaise with Co-PI’s and their digital networks for knowledge mobilization.

  • Podcast editing.

  • Creation of reels.

  • Short videos for knowledge mobilization.

Qualifications Required (skills and abilities, education, language skills):

  • Social media literacy (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Threads, etc.).

  • Fluency in English, proficiency (or more) in French (both in reading and writing).

  • Proven. expertise in social media communications.

Education/experience requirements

  • Open to BA/MA/PhD students.

Additional qualifying skills and abilities:

  • Podcast editing work (as an asset).

  • Reels production and dissemination (as an asset).

  • Short video production and dissemination (as an asset).

Appointment dates: September 15, 2026 - December 15, 2026

Hourly Rate: $22.00

Schedule/Hours per week: 5 hours/week

Immediate Supervisor: Dr. Paul Zanazanian

This position is covered by the Association of McGill University Research Employees (AMURE) collective agreement.
