Position Summary

Direct and coordinate operations associated with the purchasing, storage, assembly,decontamination, cleaning and sterilization of all medical, dental, surgical and related supplies, materials, instruments, and equipment utilized in the care and treatment of dental and managed primary healthcare patients at the College. Direct special projects as assigned including the coordination of new instrument purchases, bar coding and integration into the College inventory. Interface regularly with clinical staff, advising dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, nurses, students and other personnel regarding products, supplies, equipment, services, instrumentation, and other issues necessary to perform designated patient care medical and surgical procedures.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education:Bachelor's degree in a related healthcare field Required Experience:5 years' relevant experience in a sterile processing, operating room or similar setting, including supervisory experience, acquired knowledge of decontamination, and sterilization sciences, case cart systems and medical/surgical supplies and equipment. Preferred Experience:Management experience in a dental school, hospital, or large private practice. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to perform multiple assignments within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills. Certification in Central Service (CRCST) and Leadership Certification (CHL) Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of State Department of Health regulations, infection control protocols and team approach training programs.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $81,344.66 to USD $101,344.66. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
