Position Summary
Analyze and administer financial activity for the Courant Institute by reviewing transactions across operating, restricted, and endowment accounts; evaluate compliance with University policies and internal control procedures; and prepare financial analyses that support annual budget development and long range planning. Manage journal transfers, budget modifications, and fiscal inquiries while serving as a key liaison to faculty, administrative units, and central University offices to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or AccountingRequired Experience:3+ years of quantitative analysis experience in finance or accounting or equivalent combinationRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong analytical and organizational skills. Effective problem solving and multi-tasking skills. Demonstrate strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent writing, communication and Excel skills. Customer service oriented. The ability to work in a fast past environment.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong understanding of NYU business processes and systems. Advanced Excel skills.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $80,000.00. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
