  • Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.

    • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on key performance indicators and trends.

  • Revenue Recognition:

    • Oversee the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant guidance.

    • Review customer contracts and assess proper revenue recognition treatment.

    • Work closely with sales and legal teams to address revenue recognition matters.

  • Audit and Tax Support:

    • Oversee and manage the annual financial audit and income tax preparation processes.

    • Oversee audit schedules and support internal audits.

    • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

    • Effectively delegate tasks and monitor team performance.

    • Mentor and develop the team, preparing them for future growth within the organization.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes.

    • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    • Stay abreast of best practices in accounting and technology.

    • Proactively seek out opportunities to improve and scale financial systems and processes in anticipation of future growth and the transition to the Controller role.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership role.

  • Technical Skills: Strong technical accounting knowledge, GAAP expertise, and in-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606). Experience with NetSuite is required.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.

Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are fundamental to our success. We strive to be a workplace where we:

  • Welcome ALL and ALL are welcome.

  • Show up with our whole selves or whichever parts of ourselves we’re comfortable sharing, and be ready to see the same in others.

  • Be ready to learn, unlearn, and learn again.

  • Respect others and their opinions. We practice empathy in the way we interact with each other and celebrate uniqueness as a team.

  • Seek to understand - ask more questions than one makes statements.

  • Provide safety from judgment and preserve a collaborative environment.
