ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an exceptional opportunity for an internationally recognised academic leader to shape the future of one of Australia's foremost mathematics and statistics schools. Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Science, the Head of School will provide strategic, academic and operational leadership, driving excellence across research, education, people, partnerships and engagement.

Leading a distinguished community of academics, professional staff and students, you will foster an inclusive and high-performing culture while strengthening the School's international standing and expanding its impact across academia, industry, government and the broader community. You will champion innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration and educational excellence while ensuring the School continues to contribute to the University's ambitious Strategy 2030.

You are an internationally respected academic leader with the vision, credibility and collaborative leadership style to inspire excellence across research, education and engagement. You will bring:

  • An internationally recognised research profile and a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related discipline.
