The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for a full-time Maintenance Technician at The Morris Inn in our campus Hospitality departmentThe UOES division oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while also supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.

The Morris Inn is a AAA Four Diamond Hotel and sits at the heart of Notre Dame’s storied campus. It continues to be the “living room” of the University of Notre Dame where guests will find the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy a business lunch, family gathering, special occasion or a casual meal.

Maintenance Technician

This position works within the hotel operations ensuring that our hotel rooms, public spaces, and equipment stay in working order. The Maintenance Technician plays an instrumental role in creating and delivering exceptional guest experiences at the Morris Inn & McKenna Conference Center. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to general maintenance service calls with professionalism, efficiency and urgency to ensure our hotel services run smoothly
  • With with other Maintenance Technicians and/or independently at times to complete preventative maintenance tasks and projects in a hotel and conference center environment
  • Submit and process work orders (using computer applications)
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry items up to 50 lbs
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills with a positive, professional attitude
  • Capable of working independently and staying productive with minimal supervision
  • Dependable and punctual, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and game days
  • Mechanically inclined

Pay rate: commensurate with experience
