The Senior Manager / Director Sales - Europe reports to the GM – Regional Sales & Service and is responsible for driving sales growth, customer satisfaction, and account management and execution for strategic semiconductor customers. The role owns day-to-day account management, commercial activities, sales planning, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful execution of ASM's product and service sales strategy. 

The Senior Manager / Director Sales - Europe serves as the primary commercial interface for assigned product lines and works closely with Business Units, Product Management, Service, Process Engineering, and Operations to deliver customer success and achieve revenue objectives. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute account plans to support sales growth and market share expansion. 
  • Own commercial engagement for assigned product lines within a strategic customer account. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with operational, engineering, and procurement stakeholders. 


  • Identify new business opportunities, share gain opportunities, and competitive displacement strategies. 
  • Lead sales campaigns for new systems, upgrades, and service offerings. 
  • Manage order forecasting, opportunity pipelines, and booking commitments. 
  • Coordinate product introductions, evaluations, and qualification activities with KPUs and customer teams. 
  • Drive resolution of commercial issues through effective cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements and ASM product capabilities. 
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions. 
  • Communicate customer requirements and market intelligence back into ASM product organizations. 
  • Champion ASM's Safety First culture and compliance requirements. 

Impact 

  • Accountable for product line growth within assigned customer organizations. 
  • Influences customer technology adoption and purchasing decisions. 
  • Drives tactical and operational execution of account strategies. 
  • Leads cross-functional teams through influence rather than direct authority. 

Education 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Business, or related discipline. 

Experience & Skills 

  • 5+ years of sales, account management, business development, or related experience within the semiconductor capital equipment industry. 
  • Experience managing strategic customer relationships. 
  • Strong commercial and business acumen. 
  • Experience coordinating complex technical sales cycles. 
  • Demonstrated success achieving revenue and growth targets. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to influence across a matrixed organization.
