Job Title: Student Worker - Student Success Ambassador

Work Schedule: 7 hours per week

Desired Length of Employment: Fall semester

Pay Rate: $11.00/hr

Job Description:

The Student Success Ambassador program is designed to improve individual, interpersonal, and academic well-being, with emphasis placed upon academic well-being and academic preparedness.
• Attend Strategic Learning class - Take a 1-hour Strategic Learning 1102-N7 course focusing on 1) the development of talent, 2) the science of learning, 3) study strategies, and 4) Baylor resources
• Direct students to campus and community resources, as needed
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance for Strategic Learning Class, Tutoring Sessions, and Supplemental Instruction
• Promote your experience and resources with your peers in classes, student organizations, and more
• Participate in tutoring programming provided by Baylor University
• Attend weekly check-ins in Strategic Learning course and remind peers of learning strategies and Baylor resources
• Utilize other Baylor resources as needed
• Promote Baylor University Resources and the Success Center on personal social media accounts (accounts must be in alignment with Baylor Social Media guidelines, best practices, and commonly used hashtags)
• Ability to comply with University policies
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance for all classes
Additional considerations
• Must be a freshman
• Minimum GPA of 2.5
• No history of severe disciplinary record
