At Databricks, we are on a mission to empower our customers to solve the world's toughest data and AI problems by utilizing the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. As a Sr. Delivery Solutions Architect, you will partner with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Field Engineering to accelerate the adoption, growth, and strategic impact of Databricks with our most complex customers. You will serve as a senior technical advisor, helping customers design, implement, scale, and optimize complex data and AI solutions across business units, geographies, and product areas.

This is a highly technical and strategic customer-facing role. You will define technical execution strategies for high-value accounts, drive architectural alignment across complex use cases, and orchestrate Databricks, customer, and partner teams to deliver measurable outcomes. You will build trusted relationships with senior technical and executive stakeholders while contributing expertise, frameworks, and best practices that scale beyond individual customer engagements.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Define technical execution strategy across high-value, complex customer accounts spanning multiple use cases, business units, geographies, or product areas
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor to customer architects, technical leaders, and Director/VP-level stakeholders
  • Design and influence secure, governed, scalable architectures while balancing performance, cost, reliability, and long-term platform strategy
  • Orchestrate Databricks, customer, and implementation partner teams to align technical execution and accelerate strategic outcomes
  • Anticipate platform maturity and scaling needs and establish technical standards for security, governance, developer experience, and operational excellence
  • Drive adoption, consumption, and measurable business outcomes through technical strategy and execution
  • Lead complex technical escalations spanning multiple systems, teams, or workloads
  • Build reusable technical frameworks, solutions, and assets that scale across customers, teams, or regions
  • Mentor DSAs and contribute to technical enablement, specialization, and thought leadership

What We Look For

  • 8+ years in solutions architecture, technical consulting, professional services, data engineering, or a related senior technical role
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical strategy and architecture for high-value or highly complex customer environments
  • Experience navigating complex programs across multiple business units, product areas, geographies, or technical workstreams
  • Deep expertise in one or more Data and AI domains, with strong knowledge of distributed data systems and cloud architectures
  • Strong coding proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, or similar languages
  • Experience designing secure, governed, scalable, and production-ready architectures across cloud and enterprise environments
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems using first-principles thinking, structured analysis, and technical experimentation
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior technical stakeholders and executive audiences and de-escalate complex customer situations
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to orchestrate teams without formal authority
  • Track record of driving customer adoption, consumption, and measurable business outcomes through technical leadership
  • Experience creating reusable technical frameworks, assets, or programs that extend impact beyond individual customer engagements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Full professional proficiency in Japanese is mandatory; business-level English proficiency is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Databricks experience or certification
  • Recognized expertise in a Data and AI specialization or competitive technology
  • Experience influencing product direction through structured customer feedback
  • External technical thought leadership through blogs, conferences, summits, seminars, or industry events
  • Experience mentoring technical talent or leading enablement across teams or regions
