The Egyptian Hockey League (EHL) is looking for a Broadcast / Livestream Operator to help bring EHL game action to fans across Egypt and beyond. The EHL is Egypt's official organized ice hockey league, running competitive 3-on-3 seasons out of Cairo with games broadcast to a growing fan base as the sport expands from Cairo to Alexandria. This role is central to how the league presents its games to the public, running live broadcasts of matchups so fans, sponsors, and clubs can follow the action in real time.
What you'll do
- Set up, operate, and tear down livestream equipment (cameras, switchers, encoders, audio) at rinkside for game broadcasts
- Run live video switching, graphics overlays (score, clock, penalties), and instant replays during games
- Monitor stream health throughout broadcasts and troubleshoot connectivity, audio, or video issues in real time
- Coordinate with league staff, scorekeepers, and on-ice officials to keep broadcast data (score, time, penalties) accurate and synced
- Publish and manage recorded game footage and highlights to the league's channels after games
- Maintain and inventory broadcast equipment, flagging repairs or replacements as needed
What we're looking for
- Experience operating livestream production equipment and software (e.g., OBS, vMix, or similar) in a live sports or event setting
- Comfort working with cameras, switchers, audio mixers, and basic networking for streaming
- Ability to stay calm and solve problems quickly during live broadcasts
- Availability to work evenings and weekends on game days
- Strong attention to detail, especially around scorekeeping and broadcast accuracy
- Basic video editing skills for post-game highlights and recaps
Nice to have
- Familiarity with ice hockey rules and gameplay
- Experience broadcasting for a league, club, or community sports organization
- Bilingual in Arabic and English
