The Egyptian Hockey League (EHL) is the official organized ice hockey league in Egypt, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Cairo. The league runs competitive seasons, player development programmes, and community outreach to grow the sport from Cairo to Alexandria. We're looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to help build and run email communications that keep fans, players, and partners engaged throughout the season.
What you'll do
- Plan, write, and send regular email campaigns covering match schedules, results, news, and league announcements
- Build and manage email segments and lists for fans, players, clubs, and partners
- Set up and optimize automated email flows such as welcome sequences and event reminders
- Track open rates, click-through rates, and other key metrics, and report on performance
- Coordinate with league staff to align email content with match schedules, news posts, and merchandise drops
- Run A/B tests on subject lines, send times, and content formats to improve engagement
What we're looking for
- Proven experience running email marketing campaigns, ideally in sports, media, or entertainment
- Hands-on experience with an email service provider or marketing automation platform
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences
- Comfort working with data to segment lists and interpret campaign analytics
- Understanding of email deliverability best practices and compliance basics
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple campaigns on a recurring schedule
Nice to have
- Experience marketing to sports fans or within a league, club, or federation environment
- Basic HTML/CSS skills for email template customization
- Familiarity with tools for graphic creation or light design work for email content
