The Egyptian Hockey League (EHL), the official organized ice hockey league in Egypt, is looking for an Event Coordinator to help plan and run league game days and related events as the sport grows across the country. This role will work closely with league operations to make sure fixtures, tournaments, and community programmes run smoothly for players, clubs, and fans.
What you'll do
- Plan and coordinate logistics for league game days, tournaments, and league-affiliated events
- Liaise with venues, officials, clubs, and vendors to confirm schedules, staffing, and equipment needs
- Support on-site event operations, including setup, run-of-show, and troubleshooting on game days
- Coordinate with marketing and communications on event promotion, signage, and fan-facing materials
- Track event budgets, timelines, and vendor contracts, flagging issues early
- Help organize learn-to-skate camps, school outreach sessions, and other community programmes
What we're looking for
- Prior experience coordinating events, sports fixtures, or community programmes
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces at once
- Comfortable communicating with venues, vendors, officials, and volunteers
- Willingness to work event days, including evenings and weekends as the schedule requires
- Problem-solving mindset and calm under pressure during live events
- Basic budget-tracking and vendor-coordination experience
Nice to have
- Experience in ice hockey, another ice sport, or a growing/emerging sports league
- Familiarity with running community outreach or learn-to-skate style programmes
- Experience working with sponsors or partner organizations for events
